Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as an Occupational Therapist in Lower Bucks County, PA. This role focuses on early intervention and ESY services for preschool-aged children across the Morrisville, Yardley, and Newtown areas. You’ll help empower students, families, and educational staff through direct therapy and collaborative consultation.
This position follows the academic calendar, beginning in July and extending through June of the following year. Enjoy flexibility with lighter summer hours (about 15 hours per week) that will increase during the school year as referrals are received. Your expertise will be essential in nurturing student growth, promoting skills for daily living, and helping each child make meaningful progress in a school-based environment.
Desired qualifications include:
- Active Occupational Therapy licensure meeting all Pennsylvania state requirements
- Minimum of one year of OT experience in a school-based setting (not open to new graduates)
- Proven skill providing direct and consultative services to preschool or early intervention caseloads
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Collaborative, student-centered approach
Role responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to preschool students identified through referrals
- Provide assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress
- Work collaboratively with teachers, school staff, and families to support student goals
- Maintain clear documentation and meet compliance standards
- Adapt interventions for ESY (Extended School Year) and evolving caseloads
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEPs as needed
