- Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and the ability to contribute effectively to IEP teams
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Proficiency in assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic activities for children and adolescents
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students to determine needs and develop personalized therapy interventions to support educational performance and daily school participation
- Write and update documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and recommended accommodations
- Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and parents to support educational goals and implement interventions in the classroom setting
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services for students, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute insights for holistic student support
