This position offers full-time hours and runs through the end of the 2026-2027 academic year, providing an excellent chance to work closely with students and staff onsite.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in North Carolina required
- Previous experience in a school-based OT setting is highly recommended
- Strong understanding of OT best practices within the academic environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt to changing caseloads and school needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy services to students onsite, supporting their educational goals
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure integrated support for students
- Maintain up-to-date and compliant documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Adjust intervention strategies as needed to align with student progress and school objectives
- Act as a resource for staff and families, sharing knowledge of OT strategies that foster student success
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review plans and share student progress
