As an Occupational Therapist working on a contract basis, you’ll work closely with students, educators, and families to empower clients in developing crucial life and academic skills. Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Nebraska (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous school-based or pediatric OT experience preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and documentation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for collaborating with students, staff, and families
- Creative, adaptable approach to therapy in a school setting
- Commitment to fostering inclusion and student independence
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students’ therapy needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based interventions to help students participate fully in school activities
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other specialists to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation in a timely manner
- Offer guidance and education to families and staff on strategies promoting student success
