School Occupational Therapist | Livermore, California
Make an impact in school communities as an Occupational Therapist, providing essential services to students from PreK through 12th grade. This full-time, contract opportunity is based onsite within 1-3 school locations near Livermore, CA. Collaborate closely as part of a dedicated team of four Occupational Therapists and two Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants. While most of the existing team provides virtual support, this position focuses exclusively on onsite engagement to ensure students’ needs are met in real-time.
Assignments and caseloads will vary based on site needs, offering diverse and rewarding experiences across different age groups and classroom settings. The role runs from ASAP through May 27, 2027, allowing for long-term relationship-building and professional growth within the school system.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist licensure in California
- Prior experience or interest in working with school-aged children (PreK-12)
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff
- Ability to work full-time onsite at assigned school locations
- Flexible approach to changing assignments and environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions to students
- Track progress and report on student outcomes
- Consult with educators and parents to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with fellow OTs and COTAs to coordinate service delivery
- Adapt services to meet the varying needs of student populations at each site
