Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure in the state
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, administrators, and families
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and provide both direct and consultative services
- Commitment to fostering student independence and participation in school routines
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students’ occupational therapy needs
- Develop and execute individualized intervention plans to support academic goals
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to monitor progress and adjust strategies
- Provide direct therapy in small groups and one-on-one settings
- Document sessions, maintain records, and contribute to IEP meetings as required
- Educate staff and families about recommendations and adaptations for classroom and home environments
