Key Qualifications:
- Active New Mexico Occupational Therapist license is required
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational staff
- Ability to develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans
- Organizational skills and adaptability to work within the school calendar and structure
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to determine therapy needs related to educational performance
- Develop and carry out individualized occupational therapy interventions
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to adapt classroom materials and modify environments for accessibility
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Engage and educate families to reinforce therapy goals at home
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions as needed
