Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Illinois Occupational Therapy license (IDFPR required)
- Previous experience in school-based OT is a plus
- Strong knowledge of best practices in pediatric occupational therapy
- Ability to support students at all grade levels—early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility and adaptability to manage diverse caseloads and school environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to support students’ participation in educational activities
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to promote student success
- Monitor, document, and report on student progress according to school and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning
