Qualifications and Skills:
- Current Occupational Therapist license in Illinois
- Experience working as an OT within a school setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and best practices for pediatric therapy
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators
- Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet diverse student needs
- Organizational skills to manage multiple caseloads and documentation
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop targeted therapy plans for students
- Deliver individual and group OT interventions addressing fine motor, sensory, and developmental skills
- Participate in IEP meetings, ensuring students’ therapy goals are met and updated appropriately
- Collaborate regularly with educational staff to support classroom accommodations and modifications
- Maintain accurate, timely records of student progress and therapy sessions
- Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support student development at home and in the classroom
