Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a licensed Occupational Therapist serving students with severe disabilities in a diverse school-based setting near Magnolia, DE. In this dynamic role, you will have the chance to empower students by delivering high-quality therapy services, monitoring progress, and actively supporting educational teams. This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) running through June 2027, dedicated to making a meaningful impact across varying grade levels.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license—COTAs are not eligible
- At least two years of experience providing school-based OT services preferred
- Familiarity supporting students with autism and behavioral challenges
- Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload of 35–40 students with a range of severe disabilities
- Reliable transportation and readiness for a daily school commute
- Ability to pass a drug screening, fingerprinting, and background check
- Punctuality, professionalism, and excellent communication skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized OT therapy services as outlined in student IEPs
- Collect data, monitor progress, and maintain thorough therapy notes
- Complete comprehensive evaluations and clear evaluation summaries
- Write and review IEPs (including those written by COTAs when appropriate)
- Collaborate with educational teams to implement effective interventions
- Maintain compliance with documentation and reporting requirements
