School Occupational Therapist | Merrimack, New Hampshire
Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a skilled Occupational Therapist for the upcoming school year. This position offers a balanced 30-hour work week across four days, making it an excellent fit for professionals who value both impactful work and personal time. The assignment runs from September 1st through June 15th, with a consistent schedule of 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
Your work will involve collaborating with students, teachers, and families to address the diverse needs of a K-12 caseload. Whether facilitating fine motor development, supporting adaptive skills, or promoting sensory regulation, your expertise will empower students to thrive in their educational environment.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Active Occupational Therapist license in New Hampshire
- Relevant experience in a school-based or pediatric occupational therapy setting preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and develop individualized therapy plans for students with varying needs
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services within the school setting
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to ensure comprehensive student support
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
- Maintain compliance with IDEA, IEPs, and relevant state and federal regulations
