Occupational Therapist School Setting - Middle River, MD
Step into an exciting contract opportunity close to the Baltimore County line, where you can make a meaningful impact by providing Occupational Therapy support to students in a vibrant school environment. With a start date of 8/24/2026, this role offers the chance to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and help students achieve their full potential.
You’ll primarily work with elementary-aged children, with some exposure to secondary students, tailoring interventions to meet a diverse range of needs. This is a full-time position, offering up to 40 hours per week across 5 days. The ideal setting for a dedicated professional looking to focus on educational environments and student development.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current Maryland Occupational Therapy License
- Solid understanding of school-based OT practices
- Experience supporting children with varied physical, sensory, and cognitive needs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a school team
- Background in developing and implementing IEPs is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Conduct OT evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy services to students, primarily in elementary settings
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other service providers
- Maintain detailed records and contribute to progress reports and IEP review meetings
- Utilize evidence-based practices to support student participation in school routines
