Step into a vital role supporting students in an educational environment by bringing your expertise as a Licensed Occupational Therapist. This full-time, contract opportunity calls for a dedicated OT who is passionate about making a measurable difference for students with severe disabilities across multiple grade levels. The contract runs from ASAP through June 2027, offering long-term stability and impactful work within school-based therapy.
In this position, your clinical skills and data-driven approach will be at the heart of each day. You will carry a caseload of 35–40 students and collaborate with a team committed to student-centered care. All interviews are conducted via Microsoft Teams and, due to caseload and scheduling, only full-time candidates will be considered.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapist license
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an OT in a school setting (K-12 preferred)
- Proven background addressing the needs of students with severe disabilities, autism, and behavioral challenges
- Strong skills in IEP writing, progress monitoring, therapy documentation, and evaluations
- Ability to commute reliably; punctuality and dependability are a must
- Must pass drug screening, background check, and fingerprinting
Duties:
- Deliver targeted therapy services to students, collect data on student progress, and update documentation accordingly
- Write and review IEPs, complete assessment summaries, and monitor student progress throughout the year
- Conduct evaluations, communicate effectively with educational teams, and ensure delivery of high-quality occupational therapy
- Oversee and review IEPs written by COTAs where needed
- Maintain rigorous documentation standards in line with school requirements
