As a full-time OT in this contract position, you’ll play a critical role in helping students develop vital skills for academic and personal success. Your week will include travel between approximately five elementary campuses, with potential visits to the district’s middle and high schools. The travel radius is compact—no more than 13 miles between the two farthest locations, with most schools located conveniently nearby in town.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license
- Successful completion of an accredited OT program
- Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Flexible, organized, and comfortable with mild travel between locations throughout the school day
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create inclusive, supportive environments
- Travel between schools within the district, ensuring equitable access to services
- Educate staff and caregivers on strategies to support student development
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development
