Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Occupational Therapy license
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy required
- Previous experience working with pediatric populations, especially in schools
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with students, teachers, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Open to travel and adapting to new school settings
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students’ functional needs related to movement, sensory processing, and daily life activities within the educational setting
- Design and carry out tailored interventions to promote students’ independence and participation
- Work collaboratively with educators and staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom routines
- Document progress and maintain detailed records in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines
- Provide training and support to teachers and family members as needed
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute expertise to team decisions
