Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid and active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Florida
- Experience working in K–12 school settings preferred
- Ability to manage a travel-based schedule, effectively visiting multiple sites across Hendry County
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Commitment to fostering student independence and participation in daily school activities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to a diverse caseload of students across assigned schools (assignments finalized during summer)
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each student
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to support students’ IEP goals and promote access to the curriculum
- Provide training, recommendations, and consultative support for school staff on best practices and adaptive strategies
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation that meets all regulatory and district requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team efforts
