Qualifications and Experience:
- Current, active Occupational Therapist license in Florida
- Previous school-based OT experience preferred
- Comfortable working with K–12 populations, adapting techniques across various age groups
- Willing and able to travel between school sites throughout Hendry County as assigned
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive OT services to students ages 5–18 across assigned campuses
- Complete assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support classroom participation and functional independence for each student
- Provide both direct and consultative services, recommending adaptive equipment and strategies as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable input regarding OT goals and student progress
- Travel between school locations as assigned; reliable transportation is essential
