School Occupational Therapist - Moreno Valley, California

This role calls for a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide full-time services within a school district, with one position focused on the extended school year and another covering a maternity leave from approximately August through March. The caseload spans mild to severe needs, and your expertise will directly help students aged 3–22 with multiple disabilities achieve their goals.
Qualifications:
- Active California Occupational Therapy license required
- Experience working in California schools is essential
- Confident in independently managing an itinerant caseload, creating schedules based on district needs
- Proficient in administering and interpreting the BOT-3 and Peabody assessments
- Proven skill in leveraging data to address parent concerns and inform service recommendations
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus but not required
- OTAs will not be considered; all candidates must work independently in the field
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT services addressing students’ individualized needs in both school and community environments
- Complete assessments, consultations, and reports for a fluctuating caseload
- Provide input and recommendations during IEP meetings, using assessment data to advocate for appropriate supports
- Collaborate with school teams, families, and community partners when necessary
- Maintain detailed records and manage documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
