Seeking two dedicated professionals for contract occupational therapy opportunities—one full time, full school year role, and one full time maternity leave coverage, with the latter tentatively starting in August and concluding in March.
Perfect for self-driven therapists, these positions require flexibility, adaptability, and a passion for empowering young learners. You will work autonomously across multiple sites, supporting caseloads from mild to severe, and collaborating with families and educators to deliver meaningful interventions.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active OT license in California
- Prior experience working within California school settings
- Proficiency in administering the BOT-3 and Peabody assessments with students aged 3–22, including those with varying disabilities
- Demonstrated skill in using data to address parent concerns and guide service recommendations
- Strong organizational expertise; able to independently coordinate a fluctuating, itinerant caseload
- Bilingual Spanish speakers are encouraged (not required)
- Experience with K–12 and a willingness to support a diverse range of student needs
- Ability to work independently in the field without supervision; OTAs will not be considered
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations, including BOT-3 and Peabody, as required by caseload
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans based on each student’s unique requirements
- Efficiently manage a changing caseload and prepare relevant documentation
- Collaborate with educators and families, using data to offer recommendations and address concerns
- Travel between school sites as part of an itinerant assignment
