School Occupational Therapist | Nashua, New Hampshire
Make a real impact supporting students in a vibrant educational setting as an Occupational Therapist. This fulfilling contract opportunity in the Amherst, NH area offers the chance to work directly with a diverse group of elementary and high school students—approximately 25 in total—helping them build key life skills and succeed both academically and personally.
Ideal candidates are skilled OTs with a current occupational therapy license and proven experience working in schools. You’ll provide in-person support for 31 hours per week, collaborating with educational teams and families to develop and implement individualized intervention plans. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in enhancing students’ participation, motor development, and independence.
Qualifications:
- Active occupational therapy license in New Hampshire
- Prior experience providing OT services to school-aged children
- Knowledge of school-based therapy practices and IEP processes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent organizational abilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and deliver therapy services addressing fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
- Develop tailored intervention strategies to support student participation within an educational environment
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports for each student
- Attend multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to student IEPs
- Partner with teachers, staff, and families to maximize therapy outcomes
