The role is designed for dedicated professionals ready to work 35 hours per week, following the standard school schedule.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy license (required)
- Educational Specialist I or II Certificate (required)
- Prior experience in school-based, pediatric, or special education settings strongly preferred
- Willingness to travel and work within Carbon or Lehigh County as assigned
- Flexibility and skill in working with children who have a variety of disabilities and support needs
- Commitment to a 35-hour weekly, school-day schedule
- Ability to attend an in-person interview
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy services addressing students' unique needs
- Collaborate with special education teams, educators, and families to create and execute IEP goals
- Conduct assessments and evaluate progress, maintaining thorough, compliant documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff trainings, and professional development as required
- Support smooth integration of therapy strategies into classroom routines
This contract assignment begins as soon as possible and is scheduled through June 2027, with placement and assigned school(s) determined by current district needs. The weekly schedule aligns with standard school days and provides a consistent work environment within a dedicated team of professionals.
