Qualifications/Desired Experience
- Active Connecticut Occupational Therapist (OT) license, or COTA license/certification (CT DPH License/Passed NBCOT Exam)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work effectively with students of various ages and abilities
- Comfortable fulfilling a temporary assignment covering a maternity leave, with openness to possible extension
Responsibilities
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students throughout the district, Pre-K through 12th Grade
- Collaborate with educational teams to design and implement effective treatment plans
- Provide direct and consultative services addressing students’ developmental, educational, and physical needs
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of student progress
- For COTA candidates, work under the supervision of a licensed OT as required
- Adapt and respond to the unique needs of students with a range of disabilities and learning profiles
