Your role will focus on supporting students across various schools with a range of needs—empowering them to achieve greater independence within their educational environments. Ideal candidates will bring enthusiasm, professional expertise, and a passion for fostering student growth.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Delaware Occupational Therapist license (required)
- Previous experience working in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Demonstrated ability to adapt interventions for diverse student populations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and families
- Willingness to undergo $85 CBC fingerprinting prior to start date (required)
- Candidates must be able to work onsite; supervision for COTA is not available
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services as outlined in IEPs
- Assess students’ needs and develop targeted intervention plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support academic and functional success
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Split schedule between specified elementary, middle, and high school locations based on caseload assignment
