Desired Qualifications:
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience supporting students in school-based or clinical pediatric settings
- Strong foundation in both fine and gross motor skill development
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and relevant documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop creative interventions that support student progress
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students based on IEP goals
- Assess students’ functional abilities and recommend appropriate strategies and adaptive equipment
- Document sessions, progress, and ongoing assessments in accordance with school policies
- Collaborate with teaching staff, administrators, and families to implement and adjust intervention plans
- Support the integration of therapy recommendations within the classroom
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to overall student growth
