Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited program in Occupational Therapy
- Current, valid OT licensure for South Carolina, or eligibility to obtain
- Recent experience providing occupational therapy in schools is highly valued
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Proficiency in evaluating and documenting students’ progress
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning atmosphere
- Capable of working onsite full time throughout the contract duration
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group occupational therapy services to students with diverse needs
- Assess students’ motor, sensory, cognitive, and adaptive skills as they relate to educational performance
- Develop and update IEP goals in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
- Consult with teachers, parents, and other related service providers to support student success
- Document all services and progress in accordance with school guidelines and regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and other school-based team activities
- Adapt equipment and classroom settings to ensure access and participation
- Promote self-advocacy, independence, and skill development among students
