Qualifications:
- Current and active Virginia Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Experience working with pediatric or school-age populations preferred
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to organize and manage caseload effectively
- Commitment to fostering inclusive educational opportunities for all students
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments within the school environment
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address students’ unique strengths and needs
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom
- Maintain accurate documentation of services, goals, and student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decisions
- Provide consultative services and train staff on OT best practices as needed
