Occupational Therapist School Setting - Norristown, PA
Make a meaningful impact by supporting preschool students as a contract Occupational Therapist in the Lower Bucks County region, covering Morrisville, Yardley, and Newtown areas. This rewarding opportunity runs from July 6, 2026, to June 11, 2027 (tentative dates, aligned with the school calendar). Begin with part-time hours during the summer (approximately 15 hours per week) and transition into expanded hours during the academic year, as referrals increase.
Ideal candidates bring at least one year of experience working as an OT in a school setting, helping young learners to develop essential life skills. You’ll work with an Early Intervention caseload, contributing to Extended School Year (ESY) services and continuing support through the 2026–2027 school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy license
- At least 1 year of school-based OT experience (new graduates not eligible)
- Understanding of early childhood development and school-based interventions
- Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and changing caseloads
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group therapy to preschool-aged students
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on IEP goals and student needs
- Document progress according to state and district guidelines
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in meetings, training, and ongoing professional development
