School Occupational Therapist | Norristown, Pennsylvania

Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting young learners in the Lower Bucks County area as an Occupational Therapist. This role focuses on Early Intervention (EI) services throughout the Extended School Year (ESY) into the 2026-2027 school year, with a primary caseload of preschool-aged students across the Morrisville, Yardley, and Newtown communities.
This position begins in early July and extends through mid-June, following the local school calendar. Summer hours are approximately 15 hours per week and will expand during the academic year based on student referrals. Flexibility and adaptability will be key as you collaborate closely with educators and families to deliver impactful, individualized therapy.
Desired Experience and Credentials:
- Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (proof required)
- At least 1+ year of experience in a school-based occupational therapy setting (new graduates will not be considered)
- Familiarity with Early Intervention and preschool caseloads highly preferred
- Strong understanding of state educational requirements for therapists
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
- Proven organizational skills, and independent, flexible work style
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, implementing IEP goals and EI plans
- Maintain comprehensive documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and coordinate with families and educational staff
- Adjust therapeutic strategies according to student progress and evolving needs
- Adhere to the school-year schedule and accommodate changing caseloads as they arise
