This contract position is tailored for a credentialed OT passionate about empowering middle and high school students. With a blend of consistent full-time hours and varied daily environments, you’ll help learners access their curriculum and foster independence.
In this role, you’ll spend four days each week at a middle school, working 7:45 am to 3:00 pm, supporting students with diverse needs. One day a week, your skills will be appreciated at a high school, where you’ll work 7:30 am to 2:30 pm. This structure offers the opportunity to refine your practice across age groups, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to promote students’ success.
Desired qualifications & experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in the state
- Experience or interest in working in school-based or pediatric settings
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to students per their IEPs
- Assess student needs and strengths through observation and standardized assessment tools
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to support student participation and achievement
- Document progress and maintain compliance with federal, state, and district requirements
- Engage in meetings and professional development as needed
