This unique role will serve two educational sites—a K-12 program supporting both home-schooled children and Montessori learners who come in for classes, and an elementary school. You’ll gain rare experience adapting your skills across learning environments and age groups, deepening your expertise in school-based occupational therapy. The position runs August 31-June 17th for the 26-27 school year and is approximately 30 hours per week (.8 FTE), making it ideal for those seeking work-life balance alongside professional development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current OT license in Washington (or eligibility)
- Experience in school-based OT preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Committed to in-person service delivery; must be on-site across two school locations
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct OT services to students from kindergarten through high school (including home school/Montessori learners)
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to support student success
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress according to IEP goals
- Adapt activities to meet individualized needs and promote student independence
- Travel between two designated school sites as assigned
