Make an important impact in the lives of students as a skilled Occupational Therapist serving K-8th grade learners across multiple campuses in the North Chicago/Waukegan area. This part-time contract position offers the opportunity to provide valuable therapeutic support within a dynamic and collaborative school environment, guiding students toward greater independence in their educational journey.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license and current registration with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
- At least three years of experience delivering occupational therapy services, including a minimum of three years working in a school-based setting.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to efficiently manage a caseload spread between 2-3 campuses.
- Ability to design and implement evidence-based interventions tailored to K-8th grade students’ unique needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluations, direct therapy, and consultative services to students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or 504 Plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to facilitate student access to the curriculum and support functional independence within the school setting.
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee services at two to three campuses, traveling as needed between sites (20 hours per week, 2-3 days weekly).
