What you'll bring:
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution
- A minimum of three years of occupational therapy experience, including at least three years within a school setting
- Active state license to practice as an occupational therapist, and registration with the Illinois Department of Financial Professional Regulations (IDFPR)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multiple campuses
- Experience serving diverse student populations in grades K-8
Your key responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students across two to three campuses in Lake County, developing treatment strategies tailored to individual needs
- Assess students’ abilities and create intervention plans in alignment with educational goals
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and other school professionals to integrate therapy into the academic setting
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in school-based occupational therapy
This role requires working 20 hours per week, structured over two or three days for optimal flexibility—ideal for those seeking a balanced schedule while making a significant difference in students’ lives.
