Occupational Therapist-Travel
Location: Jacksonville, Florida Area (Travel Position)
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Occupational Therapists for a full-time travel role supporting school districts in the St. Augustine area. This is a 12-week assignment for the 2026–2027 school year, offering a rewarding opportunity to work with students in an educational setting while receiving competitive compensation and benefits.
Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to be considered, including:
Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Florida
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
Florida Department of Health licensure and compliance with all regulatory standards
Completion of all required background checks, fingerprinting, and district clearances
Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred
Travel Position Requirements:
Must hold an active license in the state of assignment
Must maintain dual housing arrangements (permanent residence and temporary assignment housing) during the contract period
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate students to identify physical, developmental, and sensory-motor needs
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and therapy plans
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
Adapt classroom environments and recommend assistive equipment as needed
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
Participate in IEP meetings and other required staff meetings
