This full-time contract opportunity is located near Palatine, IL, and offers a collaborative environment serving students within a specialized education district. Your expertise and commitment will support students’ growth, participation, and confidence, working alongside educators and dedicated professionals to create inclusive, accessible learning experiences.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Illinois OT or COTA license required (be ready to provide documentation with your application)
- Experience delivering OT services within a school setting is preferred
- Ability to work with a diverse student population, including those with a range of special needs
- Comfortable adapting interventions for multiple grade levels (K-12)
- Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills
- Willingness to work onsite for all assigned hours
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in K-12 grades
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans based on each student’s goals and needs in coordination with IEP teams
- Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families to support students’ academic access and participation
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reports
- Participate in new hire orientation scheduled for August 12-14, ensuring a smooth transition into your role
- Contribute to a positive, solutions-focused school culture
