School Occupational Therapist | Palatine, Illinois

This full-time, onsite contract role involves working with a diverse group of K-12 students, supporting their growth and access to learning in a dynamic school district near Palatine, IL.
As a valued team member, you’ll help students pursue their fullest potential, collaborating with faculty and families to provide tailored occupational therapy services. Kick off the school year with new hire orientation from August 12th to 14th and make a lasting difference throughout the academic year.
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois OT or COTA license (required at application, verify using Illinois license lookup portal)
- Previous experience in school-based occupational therapy settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Adaptability and passion for working with K-12 students of varying needs
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based OT interventions onsite in accordance with district goals
- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Consult with educational staff and families to maximize student success
- Adjust strategies for a caseload and grade levels to be determined
