Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Occupational Therapist licensure valid in Rhode Island
- Previous experience in school-based OT or pediatric settings is highly valued
- Skilled in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and interventions
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Compassion, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify students’ functional needs within the educational environment
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized occupational therapy interventions
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and parents
- Document progress, maintain records, and provide regular updates on student outcomes
- Offer support and education for school staff on accommodations and strategies to encourage student participation
- Maintain compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and standards
