Occupational Therapist School Setting - Warwick, RI

This contract opportunity seeks a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) ready to deliver high-quality therapy services to children and adolescents across the K-12 age range. Your primary responsibility will be to support students with diverse needs, enhancing their participation in school and daily life through direct therapy, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and individualized interventions. The exact caseload size and daily schedule will be determined to best fit your expertise and the school’s needs.
Qualifications and Credentials:
- Active Massachusetts Occupational Therapy (MA OT) license required
- Demonstrated experience in school-based, home health, or healthcare OT settings
- Knowledge of best practices for servicing K-12 students with varying needs
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Adaptability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary support team
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to K-12 students as specified in IEPs or 504 plans
- Assess students’ abilities and develop targeted treatment plans to improve academic and functional skills
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and related service providers
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Contribute insights to student intervention teams and ongoing program development
