Step into a rewarding role serving students as a school-based Occupational Therapist in the Philadelphia area. This contract opportunity offers immediate part-time hours, with an exciting transition to full-time coverage from late October through early February to support a maternity leave.
What You’ll Need:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in Pennsylvania
- Experience or strong interest in school-based OT practice
- Comfort working with students across a variety of age groups and needs
- Skills in assessment, developing IEP goals, and delivering direct therapy
- Collaborative approach to working with teachers, support staff, and families
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Conduct evaluations using standardized assessments and clinical observations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help students access their education
- Consult with educators and parents to support classroom modifications and carryover strategies
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and evaluations
- Participate in IEP meetings as needed, sharing observations and recommendations
Role Details: Begin part-time with a flexible schedule of 1-2 days weekly, allowing you to integrate smoothly with school teams and students. Starting October 31st and continuing through February 1st, the role will expand to full-time, with a consistent Monday–Friday schedule totaling 35 hours per week from 8:00am to 3:30pm.
