Occupational Therapist School Setting in Placerville, CA

This position focuses on delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to students with moderate to severe needs throughout the school year (FSY). You’ll collaborate with a passionate educational team, provide both direct and consultative services, and help students achieve their fullest potential.
Key qualifications and experience:
- California OT licensure in good standing
- Experience in school settings preferred, particularly supporting K-12 students
- Confident working independently with moderate to severe caseloads
- Capable of performing assessments, delivering direct services, providing consultative support, and actively participating in IEP meetings
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Flexibility for itinerant travel within the county
Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for students across multiple schools
- Deliver both direct therapy sessions and consultative services to address students’ IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to promote functional student outcomes
- Attend and contribute expertise at IEP meetings
- Support inclusive educational practices by recommending adaptive strategies and environmental accommodations
This position is onsite only, ensuring regular face-to-face engagement with students and school teams. Previous school-based OT experience in California is highly valued and will allow you to hit the ground running in this rewarding setting.
