Step into an impactful contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist, serving students across both a Behavioral Academy (K-12) and a Transition Program (ages 18-21), conveniently located under one roof near Plainfield, IL. This onsite role is ideal for a dedicated OT excited to facilitate positive outcomes for students with diverse needs by delivering a blend of consultative and direct therapy services.
Enjoy a consistent schedule of approximately 32.5 hours per week, within the hours of 7:45am–2:45pm or 8:45am–2:45pm during the full 2026-2027 school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consultative and direct OT services to students in both K-12 and transition settings
- Conduct annual reviews and 3-year reevaluations
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including special education and support staff
- Implement interventions individually and in small groups within a collaborative learning environment
- Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license
- Previous experience in a school setting or with student populations preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for team collaboration
- Experience managing a varied caseload, including both consultative and direct service delivery
- Ability to work onsite throughout the assigned term
