What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Active New Mexico OT license
- Previous experience in a school-based occupational therapy setting preferred
- Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation skills
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites as an itinerant provider
- Commitment to on-site services (this position is not available for virtual/remote/VOCO work)
- Effective communication with students, staff, and families
- Collaborative approach with special education teams and educational staff
Your Key Impact:
- Deliver evidence-based OT interventions to help students achieve academic and developmental goals
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine student needs and recommend appropriate services
- Manage a dynamic caseload, providing individualized, group, and consultative services
- Prepare timely, detailed reports and maintain accurate documentation according to regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with educators and related service professionals to develop and implement IEPs
- Participate in eligibility meetings, annual reviews, and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Support students in accessing educational programming and fostering greater independence
