Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license within New York State
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
- Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or pediatric setting
- Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans, and school-based documentation
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Creative, compassionate, and adaptable mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ abilities and develop individualized therapy plans
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services, both one-on-one and in groups
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in alignment with district and legal requirements
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into daily classroom activities
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to support student progress
- Educate families and caregivers to encourage carryover of therapy techniques at home
