School Occupational Therapist | Putney, Vermont
Seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide district-wide support in a school setting serving K-12 students across four buildings. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact throughout the entire academic year. The assignment runs from late August through mid-June, ensuring consistency for students and staff alike.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist certification for the state of Vermont is required
- Experience working within school settings, preferably across multiple grade levels
- Familiarity with K-12 educational environments and the unique needs of these age groups
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt interventions for a diverse student population
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services across the district to students in grades K-12
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
- Manage a varied caseload and maintain timely and accurate documentation
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP processes
