Key Qualifications:
- Completion of a post-graduate OT degree (Master’s preferred)
- Current OT license through the North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy (NCBOT)
- At least one year of professional, post-fieldwork II experience as a school-based OT (experience during grad school or fieldworks alone does not qualify)
- School-based experience required; prior NC school experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to conduct and document therapy services in educational settings, guiding IEP development and implementation
- Proficiency with ECATS and writing IEPs is essential
- Experience with widely recognized OT standardized assessments, including Sensory Processing Measure–2 (SPM-2) and Sensory Profile 2
- Strong understanding of interpreting and applying assessment results to school-based interventions
- Ability to obtain an NPI number and register with NC Tracks prior to the start date
- Willingness to complete DCDEE fingerprinting and school background check
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services, motor screenings, and OT evaluations for diverse learners across elementary, middle, and high school
- Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary school team, participating in IEP meetings and supporting the educational goals of each student
- Manage a caseload governed by a workload model, with regular assessments to ensure equitable distribution
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation of services and progress in compliance with district and state guidelines
