Key Qualifications:
- Valid OT licensure with eligibility to practice in North Carolina
- Prior experience in a school environment or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation practices
- Ability to work effectively with students across a broad age range (K-12)
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with students, families, and staff
- Familiarity with virtual or teletherapy (Voco OT) modalities is a plus
- Able to manage a full-time workload (40 hours per week)
- Collaborative, flexible approach to problem-solving and teamwork
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students to determine need for occupational therapy services
- Develop and implement individualized interventions to address fine motor, sensory, and functional skills
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required by school policies
- Participate actively in IEP meetings to provide insight and recommendations for student plans
- Engage with teachers, administrators, and families to optimize support strategies
- Facilitate both direct and consultative services tailored to student goals
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
