You’ll support K-12 students across 2-3 nearby schools, helping them build the skills they need to succeed academically and socially.
Bring your knowledge of school-based OT practices to this role, delivering critical therapies and accommodations to support students of varying grade levels and abilities. Work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to identify student needs and design effective intervention plans.
Desired Background and Qualifications:
- Active OT license in the state of Virginia
- Prior experience in school or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Knowledge of current best practices in school-based OT and IEP process
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Flexibility to travel between 2-3 nearby school sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Provide direct therapy services to students and document progress
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team approach
- Manage a diverse caseload, prioritizing student goals and supporting academic engagement
