- Strong understanding of IEPs, assessments, and school-based OT interventions
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt interventions for diverse learning needs and support inclusive educational environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ needs and strengths
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans focused on educational access
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both one-on-one and in groups
- Monitor, document, and report progress toward IEP goals
- Partner with teachers and staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, offering insights and recommendations
- Stay current with best practices in school-based occupational therapy
