School Occupational Therapist - Salem, New Hampshire

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist, supporting students’ growth and success within an engaging school environment. This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) runs from September 3rd through June 17th and provides the chance to work across four charter schools (serving students from kindergarten through grade 12 in the Nashua, Manchester, and Derry area) and one day per week at an elementary school. Enjoy a variety of settings and age groups while making a positive impact throughout the community.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapy license for the state of New Hampshire
- Experience in school-based, home health, or other healthcare OT settings
- Strong understanding of IEPs, documentation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to a diverse range of student needs and grade levels
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Compassion and dedication to helping children thrive
- Previous school experience is highly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services in both individual and group formats
- Complete evaluations, develop and implement treatment plans, and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to optimize student participation
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation, including progress notes and required reports
- Travel throughout the Nashua, Manchester, and Derry area to support your assigned schools
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team planning and student goal setting
