School Occupational Therapist - San Bernardino, California

Two openings are available, addressing the needs of students aged 3-22 with various disabilities. One position provides consistent, full-time, full-year support, while the other offers full-time coverage during a maternity leave, tentatively beginning in August and ending in March.
Your expertise will empower students with unique needs, focusing on functional outcomes and independence in both mild and severe cases. You’ll work independently in an itinerant capacity, tailoring your approach and schedule to address the changing requirements of the schools and students. Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and effective communication with parents and educational teams are essential for success in these flexible roles.
Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapy license in California
- Hands-on experience in California school settings required
- Demonstrated excellence in independently managing a fluctuating caseload
- Proficiency in administering standardized assessments, specifically BOT 3 and Peabody, to a wide range of ages and abilities
- Adept at interpreting data to support recommendations and respond to parent inquiries
- Self-starter comfortable creating and managing your own schedule based on district needs
- Bilingual (Spanish) skills are a plus, though not required
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services for K-12 students with varying levels of need
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and produce thorough reports
- Regularly liaise with educators, support staff, and families, utilizing assessment outcomes to guide interventions
- Adapt service plans to align with caseload fluctuations
