Embark on an exciting contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist in the vibrant Bay Area! This dynamic role offers the chance to support students in both the Mill Valley and San Rafael areas, with a part-time schedule spread over four days per week during the academic year. You’ll split your time between two districts, providing impactful therapy services to help students achieve their academic and developmental goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license for California
- Previous experience in a school-based setting highly preferred
- Background in pediatric occupational therapy
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to travel between two district locations
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive OT services to students in both Mill Valley and San Rafael school districts
- Assess and develop individualized treatment plans for students with a range of needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ educational plans
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Support classroom adaptations and provide recommendations for student success
- Manage a variable caseload with flexibility and professionalism
